• Get the facts: exchange names, addresses, driver's license info and insurance information with the driver(s) of the other vehicles involved.
• Determine the extent of any/all injuries and damage.
• Stay at the accident scene until the police arrive.
• File a vehicle accident report with the police. Don’t leave the scene until the police officer has made out the full report.
• At the scene, don’t discuss the accident with anyone but the police/highway patrol officers.
• Call your auto insurance agent immediately (even from the accident scene with the police present, if possible; sometimes the police officer can give your agent more accurate information if you are injured or upset).
